Our 1-hour private stargazing experience run from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre near Newton Stewart is a whirlwind tour of the best sights to see in the night sky from Scotland. Your stargazing adventure includes a laser guided tour of the stars and constellations we can see on your chosen night, and a journey out across the universe using one of our large telescopes. Along the way you'll see star systems, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies beyond our own, and your astronomer will give you the background story to each view. 1-HOUR SCOTLAND GALLOWAY FOREST DARK SKY PARK STARGAZING EXPERIENCE 

Discover the wonders of our universe with an amazing 1-hour private stargazing experience run by a professional astronomer at Scotland's dark sky park in Galloway Forest. 

Our astronomer will meet you at the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre car park near Newton Stewart in South West Scotland for a grand tour of the night sky. From the car park it is a short walk to the stargazing spot where we'll have one of our large telescopes set up and ready to take you on a stargazing adventure. You'll get sharp and bright views through the telescope of dazzling star systems, ancient star clusters, red supergiants, nebulae and vast distant galaxies far beyond our own during your 1-hour stargazing experience. We also include a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations, all with expert narration and guidance from a professional astronomer. 

If you'd like a list of available dates and times for stargazing in the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park please do contact us. Normally we'll be running on a 6-month lead time for available dates. Alternatively we offer the 1-hour Scotand Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park stargazing experience as a gift voucher inside one of our luxury A5 gift boxes. This gives the recipient the flexibility to choose their own date when convenient. The stargazing voucher is valid for two years initially, with an option to extend the voucher for an additional year free of charge so as to allow plenty of time for the recipient to book a date, and for us to find a clear night on which to run the stargazing experience. 

We're happy to personalise the voucher with a short message. A message box will appear during the checkout process for you to add your personal note.

When can the stargazing voucher be used? 

Weekends and weeknights ay time of the year, subject to our availability.  Please consider booking 6 months in advance for the best selection of dates.

What if it is raining or cloudy? 

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When booking the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose  2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience for you. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
