NORTH YORKS MOORS 2-HOUR PRIVATE STARGAZING EXPERIENCE

Go on a private stargazing adventure from a choice of dark sky discovery site in the North Yorks Moors with an experienced astronomer as your guide.  Run exclusively as private stargazing sessions for individuals, couples, families and small groups our astronomer will meet you at one of the stargazing locations we use in the North Yorks Moors to take you on a grand tour of the night sky. 

We'll need a night with some clear sky and likely begin with a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations. We'll then use one of our large telescopes for a journey out across the cosmos to visit star systems, star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies far beyond our own. With each view our experienced astronomer will give you the background story to each view. If the moon and / or planets are visible at the time we'll view them in the telescope too. For Saturn you'll get a sharp view of the planet's rings and some of its moons. For Jupiter you'll see the cloud belts in super detail and maybe the great red spot storm system, as well as Jupiter's bright Gallilean moons.

For a stargazing gift that the recipients will talk about for years to come then our private 2-hour stargazing session ticks all the right boxes! The 2-hour North Yorks Stargazing Experience voucher is suitable for individuals, couples, families and small groups. It’s great for children too from age 7 upwards. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Voucher recipient may have up to 15 friends and family members share in the experience at no extra charge. 

When can the voucher be used? 

Anytime you want in the next two years or longer! We run stargazing experiences from the North Yorks Moors locations all year round except over the Festive period. You'll need to book ahead of time. Please consider booking 4 - 6 months in advance as we do get booked up. You're welcome to choose a weeknight or weekend night, although weekend nights are more popular and so are less readily available. 

What if it is raining or cloudy? 

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When booking the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose  2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience for you. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
