2-Hour Private Stargazing Experience in the Lake District

Discover the night sky with an experienced astronomer as your guide on a two-hour stargazing adventure in the Lake District. Run as a private stargazing session for you and your guests our astronomer will meet you at the stargazing location near Coniston Water to provide a grand tour of the night sky. You'll have access to one of our large telescopes - either a 250mm or 300mm aperture reflector telescope - to see some of the best sights in the night sky in fine detail. Included is a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations that we can see with the naked eye, and also the opportunity to snap some images on your phone through the telescope.  

When can the 2-hour stargazing voucher be used? 

Anytime you want in the next two years or longer! We run stargazing experiences all year round except over the Festive period. You'll need to book. Please consider booking 4 - 6 months in advance for the best selection of dates. You're welcome to choose a weeknight or weekend night, although weekend nights are more popular and so are less readily available. If you'd like a list of available dates & times for the Lake District before making your voucher purchase please let us know. 

What if it is raining or cloudy? 

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When booking the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose  2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience for you. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
