ANGLESEY 1-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE
Enjoy a journey out across the cosmos from one of three wonderful stargazing locations on Anglesey. Choose a beach view overlooking Red Wharf Bay or perhaps the Menai Straits from Newborough Warren in SW Anglesey. We also run from a location overlooking the famous South Stack Lighthouse near Holyhead. Whichever location you choose you're sure to enjoy a wondrous journey out across the universe with an experienced astronomer as your guide. Along the way you'll discover some amazing views through one of our large telescopes including nearby star systems, ancient star clusters, wispy nebula and distant galaxies beyond our own.
If the moon and / or planets are visible then we'll get a close-up view of these too in the telescope. See the rings of Saturn, Jupiter and its moons and maybe catch some of our solar system's distant ice giants.

It's the perfect experience gift for those who have a fascination with the night sky. The 1-hour Anglesey Stargazing Experience voucher is suitable for individuals, couples, families and small groups. It’s great for children too from age 7 upwards. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Voucher recipient may have up to 15 friends and family members share in the experience at no extra charge.
When can the voucher be used?
Anytime you want in the next two years or longer! We run stargazing experiences from Anglesey all year round except over the Festive period. You'll need to book. Please consider booking 3 - 6 months in advance as we do get booked up. You're welcome to choose a weeknight or weekend night, although weekend nights are more popular and so are less readily available.
What if it is raining or cloudy?
Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When booking the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose 2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience for you. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.

Earlier this week I braved -5* to meet Nick in the New Forest. It had taken over a year to find clear skies to cash in my voucher and explore the universe. It took Nick 5 mins to appreciate that I was no amateur astronomer. He was a brilliant guide to the cosmos. He adapted his spieel to use Janet and John language and over the next 2 hours he won me over despite quietly freezing my proverbials off. Best evening of my Christmas. Thank you Nick job well done. How good was it? Well I want to come back for chapter 2, night sky in summer. Will I get a telescope, probably not, I needed someone with a laser beam to point out where to direct my gaze. And a thumbs up to Seb for keeping it all on track. Keep going guys, this might be niche, but it's an interesting niche.
